Russian born NHL players drafted in the 1999, 2000, 2001 entry drafts.

This is Ilya Kovalchuk who has spent his entire NHL career with the Atlanta Thashers. Kovalckuk was the first Russian born and trained player to be picked 1st overall in the NHL entry draft. So far Kovalchuk has scored 270 goals, 239 assists, and 509 points in 510 NHL regular season games.
